Old photos around Seberang Perak

Feels like time is running out..no official proposal coming out yet..but I need to take some action for the sake of documentation

I think these are my mom's cousin who used to live in Pantai Johor and photo on the left is my father with my sister -Suhaili infront or Mak's house. I like this verandah with another few steps leading to the main house / living area. This is the place where we used to play 'masak-masak', 'kahwin2', 'kedai2'...and when raya came my late Uncle - Nazri will hang beautiful lantern ...I just love sitting here especially when it was raining, watching the red water flowing from the road and passed by this verandah before finding its way towards the river at the back...and back then I will always wait for Mr.Postman sending cards and letters from SA...heheheh..those were the days..

This is me with my third cousin Ina who lives in Langkawi, my farther''s shirt is light blue
..I noticed that I now dresses up my daughter just like this..dress and pants /legging...Ina is one year older than me, we used to be closed but with time passing by and separated by the straits..we are not that close anymore..but I always remember her..This photo was taken at the back of Mak's house which used to be the entrance, it is facing the river and compound with big jambu air tree planted by my late great grandma.
There used to be lines of pokok puding with colourful leaves next to that lime tree

My father and Ina's at the location my our current house, the house in the background was a Jkr Quarters, it was a semi detached house made of bricks for the pillar and mainly timber for the post and wall, it was built in July 1927.
I will blog about this house in my next entry...till then..enjoy these lovely photos...

Rearrange and redeveloped

I just received a 'bad' news from a friend who is quite resourceful on this matter...Seberang Perak will be 'rearranged' but I don't know how big, how bad or when the idea will be realised..but it looks like it is a serious issue now, they already discussed it in Langkawi..wow a discussion of demolishing a place in good damn place...whatever...not my concern

My concern now is what,how,when.....?

Are they gonna scrapped of everything, are they gonna remain certain part for its history...is it gonna soon..when..is it next year, next two years..? how bout relocation, compensation, monetary issue...and have they ever think that by doing this Malays will be running away to sub urban and the others will monopoly town area...?

I hope that they think carefully and thoroughly..once its gone..its forever...
